During 2 hours public
observers stayed on the territory of Buchanska correctional institution №85 studying the work of the
establishment from inside, the criteria of evaluation was maintenance of
rights, liberties and legal interests of the convicted persons and the
employees. The activists of NGOs of Ukraine got such an opportunity due to the
participation in the international program "Development of the System of Public
Control in Ukraine".

During the whole year,
public monitoring of summer recreation is conducted in Kirovohrad. Kirovohrad
and its 17 districts got under the scrutiny of public observers. Public
monitoring of the activity of The Department of Family, Youth and Sports of
Kirovohrad State Administration presupposes conducting independent observation
of the whole recreation process - starting with purchase of the recreation
services and finishing with evaluating the results of the recreation campaign.

Recent Projects жовтень - грудень 2008 року
The development of the international standard in social responsibility ISO 26000 started in 2005 and is planned to be finished by 2010. According to official information, the standard is not going to be certified and will be voluntary for provision. Around 80 countries of the world take part in its development, since 1st of November, 2007, the National Mirror Committee in Ukraine on standard development has been created. It is considered that the committee represents all the interested parts at national level, but unfortunately, Ukrainian regions now are not involved into this process. With the aim of increasing knowledge on the standard in social responsibility ISO 26000 and the concept of corporate social responsibility, as well as discussing the working version of the standard, Development Center (www.csr-ukraine.org) started the Project "ISO 26000 - to the regions" with the support of the "Eastern Europe" fund and companies SKM, RUSAL, FOXTROT.  10.2008-04.2009
The project presupposes creation of conditions for the development of OPS of Kirovohrad through: § creation in Kirovohrad Center of development of local democracy § informing the community on the project § organizing study visit to Odessa with the aim of studying the best experience of OPS organization § conducting in the framework of the work of Local Democracy Development Center a series of four 2-day educational seminars for the representatives of the city initiative groups. § working out by the experts the Provision on Organs of Self-Organization of Population in Kirovohrad and conducting the campaign of public pressure for its support.  партнерство в період 02-08.2008
Ukraine is one of the 12 pilot countries
included in the realization of the project ‘‘EU and UN Partnership on Gender
Equality for Development and Peace". Its aim is to provide whole integration of
gender equality into the processes of national development and official help to
the development of (ODR) in accordance with the Paris Declaration.

11 липня 2008 року в
приміщенні офісу Творчого об'єднання «Технології оптимального розвитку
особистості» відбулось визначення переможців Конкурсу малих проектів,
оголошеного в рамках Грантової програми «Малі проекти на підтримку великих
ініціатив». Незалежна Грантова комісія, до складу якої входили три представники
від влади, 2 представники від бізнесу та
2 представники від громадськості, підтримала 5 найцікавіших проектів, серед
поданих до ТО „ТОРО", та виділила на їх втілення 20000 гривень.
