Active community from 10 regions of Ukraine decided to study the work of entrance commissions of state educational establishments during the entrance campaign. With this aim the national campaign of public control over the work of entrance commissions was initiated by the coalition of public organizations. The public organization from Kirovohrad - TORO was given a task to administer such a big project.
Monitoring campaign is to last from June to October 2008, which is from the moment when application forms are submitted by the applicants and till the publishing of orders of acceptance. It will be conducted in 10 regions of Ukraine, both in regional centers and little towns. It is expected that the part of the public observers will be engaged in work of the entrance commissions, selected for monitoring, and the part - as external observers.
With the aim of conducting monitoring according to the single standards and with the least difficulties, TORO decided to conduct special training for its regional partners. In the period from the 17th to the 20th June 2008 the organization gathers in Kirovohrad public anti-corruption workers from almost the whole of Ukraine for them to take part in the specialized School of Public Monitoring.
The project "Public control over entrance campaign 2008" is held in the framework of the national project "Assistance in active participation of citizens in corruption fight in Ukraine "Hidna Ukraine" (www.action-msi.org.ua), which is conducted by Management Systems International company with the financial support of USAID and Corporation "Millennium Challenges".Popular Themes
