The discussion of the major directions of creating conditions for NGOs activity in Kirovohrad and increasing their role in decision making has been started

Are the Kirovohrad authorities ready to support the development of city NGOs?

Experts of Ukrainian public organization "Association of assistance of population self-organization" in partnership with Creative Union "Technologeis of Optimum Personality Development"  were looking for the answer to this question during 10 months. The outcome of their search was the preparation of the proposals, which would essentially improve conditions for NGOs activity and increase their role in decision making, whereas accounted by the authorities of the town.

 Research in Kirovohrad was conducted within the framework of interregional project "Influence of local authorities on the development of the third sector", which is being implemented in 5 regions of Ukraine. The project presupposed conducting monitoring of legal and practical activity of self-governing bodies in Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy, Poltava in the sphere of creating conditions for local NGOs development and their role in decision making. It is in the final stage now. The discussion of the results of the conducted monitoring and publishing expert recommendations for Kirovohrad city council will be held in Kirovohrad on the 22^nd of August. But even today, anybody can get acquainted with the text of experts' proposals. With this aim, one should only download major directions of creating conditions for NGOs activity and increasing their role in decision making from this site.
