During 2 months there was correspondence between Kirov district council and TORO concerning cooperation of the latter with the representatives of block committees of Kirov district. As a result TORO got the opportunity to take part on 27 May, 2009 in the monthly meeting of the heads of block committees.
And the long-awaited meeting has occurred. It was possible solely due to the assistance of the head of Kirov district council – Lutsenko Viktor Aleksandrovich. And though TORO’s representative had very little time, we got the opportunity not only to get acquainted and present our activity in the direction of population self-organization development, but also we were able to handle an hour and a half lecture on the effective cooperation of population self-organization organs and the authorities. During the lecture the key problems, which the representatives of the block committees face, were discussed. The present were informed of the opportunity to get funds (as the population self-organization organ) for realization of interesting initiatives or solution of the urgent problems through participation in the contest of small grants.
