Ukrainian Vice-Prime Minister, Volodymyr Sivkovich and Andrey Bogdan, who is the Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers and the government representative concerning anticorruption politics, held a working discussion with Miklosh Marshal, the Regional Director in Europe and Central Asia Region of Transparency International (Berlin, Germany).
During the discussion, the parties made agreement to strengthen their cooperation through the exchange of information and experience in the area of prevention and resistance of corruption. At the same time, the representative from Transparency International and the leader of their contact group in Ukraine presented an evaluation project called, “National Integrity System” (NIS), which was launched in 2000 and was conducted in more than 60 countries around the world. This year it is planned for Ukraine and Georgia to take part in this evaluation.
On May 20th, with the participation of Andriy Bohdan, the government representative concerning anticorruption politics and Miklosh Marshal, the Regional Director in Europe and Central Asia Region for Transparency International the first Advisory Council meeting of independent consultants for the project, “National Integrity System: Evaluation of Ukraine” and podium discussion on the topic: “How Society can Resist Corruption: Transparency International’s Approaches” were held.
