The condition of the civil society development, consolidation principles of regional community organizations in 2009, ways of further development of the community environment of Kirovohrad region in the conditions of financial-economic crisis will be discussed during the conference.
Leaders of Civil Society Organizations and initiative groups of citizens of Kirovohrad region who work in the following spheres are invited to the discussion: work with the children; protection of the handicapped rights; protection of the veterans rights, protection of people who have AIDS; analysis of state policy, charity, youth work, voting rights of citizens, media, legal protection; gender equality; environment; physical culture and sport; trade union movement; culture and traditions; science and technologies; community participation; educational sphere, spirituality.
It is expected that as the result of the Conference its participants will define: conditions for the development of community initiatives in Kirovohrad region in the current year; the strategy of actions of Civil Society Organizations on crisis counteraction; overlook tools of consolidation of community groups of the region and define the most effective mechanisms of interaction of the community and the authorities of the region.

The conference shall start on Friday, 27th February at 10.30 in Kirovohrad in the building of Kirovohrad regional art museum (Kirovohrad, Karl Marx Street 60 – across from the UTO trade center).
