WORKING TABLE OF A CIVIC EXPERT: Internet-resource for civic activists

Assistance in development in Ukraine of the instrument of civic expertise through creating in Internet of a specialized resource, dedicated to training civic activists of the instruments of conducting civic expertise.

Project description

This project presupposes creation in the Internet of a specialized interactive training resource for civic activists on usage of instruments of conducting civic expertise. 

• Block “Conducting civic expertise step by step” will contain a list of major stages, which a civic activist should perform while conducting civic expertise. When a user chooses one of the stages, the block with links to parts of the site, which relate to this stage, appears.
• Block “Private cabinet of the civic expert” is an electronic working table of a civic activist while conducting civic expertise. When a user chooses this block, one can see a menu, which relates to different stages of conducting civic expertise. While filling out information on each of the stages, the user forms a database on these stages of the civic expertise. On the condition that the block user while filling out one or the other working field of the block chooses an option “Make accessible for all”, the data indicated by the user becomes accessible for other users who are on this very stage of the expertise.
• Block “Stories of success of civic experts” will contain information on the already performed civic expertise, which were placed at the site by civic activists and have got the status “published”. The filling of this block takes place through filling out by the users the corresponding fields of the block “Private cabinet of the civic expert”.
• Block “Get consultation on conducting civic expertise” will contain links to the feedback form with the help of which one can send a message. The message will be sent to the administrator of the site (in case the user hasn’t selected any of the subheadings of the context menu) or to the consultant on conducting civic expertise in one of the areas (‘access to information’, ‘planning an expertise’, ‘selection of analysis methods’, ‘writing an analytical document’).
• Block “Tags cloud” will contain the list of key words, which are most commonly used by site users. It is considered that the more often the key word is used, the bigger is its relevance towards other words.
• Block “What is civic expertise?” will contain general information on civic expertise, legislative acts, which regulate usage of this instrument, as well as other information on this topic.

• At the portal ‘Community space” an interactive training module “Working table of a civic expert” will be placed. It will contain information on planning and realization of civic expertise at all its stages. 
• Information on the opportunities of the Internet-resource will be distributed among at least 20% of active Non-governmental organizations of Ukraine.
• Internet users will get opportunity to get full, accessible and up-to-date information on planning and using civic expertise.
• Users will be able to plan their own steps on conducting expertise independently by placing them in the named part of the site.
• Civic activists will be able to get professional and trustworthy advice on planning and execution of civic expertise.
• It is planned to increase level of professionalism, legal and practical preparedness of the representatives of civil society institutes of Ukraine in planning and conducting civic expertise. 
• It is planned that by the end of the project the created resource will be supported by the effort of its users.
