Preventing corruption at all levels (Projects total: 7)
High level of corruption, which remains in countries with low level of incomes – is the never-ending humanitarian catastrophe.
According to data of Transparency International, Corruption Perception Index in Ukraine is 2,2 points from the 10 possible. Political disorder in Ukraine, which has existed during the last years, caused the decrease of its points from 2,5 to 2,2. This situation demonstrates that corruption remains a serious challenge for our country.
Corruption is not a Ukrainian invention; it is present in almost all the countries of the world. But if in Ukraine it accompanies the person from the maternity house, which is from birth, and until the cemetery, it means only one thing – deep systemic spiritual crisis of the society. And even more indignation causes the system, which puts each person into such humiliating conditions. Bribery and corruption undermine competition and encourage large-scale loss of resources for development of the country, loss of opportunities for each Ukrainian.
Activity of the Creative Union “TORO” is aimed at uniting the community in the direction of anti-corruption, improving the level of awareness of society about corruption and its negative impacts, as well as at performing independent anti-corruption control.

Public authorities of all levels daily perform activity in our interests. But in Ukraine persistent distrust of the citizens to the authority institutions still remains the same. Perhaps the reason is the lack of dialogue in the format “the authorities – society”. At the same time as a result of such dialogue legitimation of the authorities takes place. Cooperation of state authorities with independent civic organizations of analytical character is an indispensable element of democratic political culture of European model.
Creative Union “TORO” performs research activity, which lies in studying socially relevant problems and developing ways of their solution. This activity of the Union is based on general community interests and is oriented on them.

Nothing makes officials see in the common citizens buyers of state services, as performance of civic control and civic advocacy. Thanks to these instruments the community is able to effectively influence realization of state policy.
The citizens of Ukraine have the full right to control officials’ actions. Together with the campaigns of civil representation (advocacy) it allows with the high quality and at the systemic level changing the life of citizens.
The whole activity of the Creative Union “TORO” is directed at solving problems of common citizens. With this aim we use our own work-outs and several years experience of conducting successful campaigns of civic control and advocacy.

On the 24th of August, 1991 a new independent state – Ukraine appeared on the geopolitical map of the world. At this very day the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a historical document – Declaration of Independence of Ukraine. Since that moment, only we, the citizens of Ukraine, are responsible for the quality of life, which we have in our state.
We honestly pay budget services giving part of our money in the form of taxes. What has a loud name ‘the state budget of Ukraine’ belongs to each of 45 982 9001 Ukrainians. It’s our work, which gives us the right to ask the authorities, how effectively state funds are spent, and express our first needs.
One of the priorities of the Creative Union “TORO” is forming rational, conscious, long-lasting participation of people in the society life and solving state issues. That’s why we work, so that each Ukrainian has opportunity directly and with maximum result to take part in governing state issues.
